The short version: Vitree does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Your health information never leaves your device.
Our Privacy Philosophy
Vitree was built with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought. We believe your health data is deeply personal and should remain entirely under your control.
Data We Access
Vitree accesses the following health metrics from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission:
- Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
- Resting Heart Rate
- Sleep Analysis (duration and stages)
This data is used exclusively to calculate your recovery score and display trends within the app.
Data We Collect
None. Vitree does not collect any personal information, analytics, crash reports, or usage data. There is no server, no cloud storage, and no third-party services that receive your data.
Data Storage
All data processed by Vitree is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your recovery scores, baselines, and historical summaries remain on your iPhone and Apple Watch. They are not backed up to any external service operated by us.
Data Sharing
Vitree does not share your data with anyone. There are no:
- Analytics or tracking services
- Advertising networks
- Third-party data processors
- Cloud synchronization services
Network Requests
Vitree makes no network requests. The app functions entirely offline. You can verify this by using the app in Airplane Mode.
Apple HealthKit
Vitree integrates with Apple HealthKit solely to read your health metrics. We follow Apple's HealthKit guidelines strictly:
- We only request access to the specific data types needed for recovery calculation
- We never write data back to HealthKit
- We never share HealthKit data with third parties
- We never use HealthKit data for advertising
Children's Privacy
Vitree is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date. Because we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
